Online payment FAQs

A step by step video on how our online payment system works

Update 01 July, 2016: Our online transaction fee has been changed to 2.5% from July, 2016.

How does your online payment system work?

To pay us online, you need to send us a scanned copy of your passport and billing address to us. After getting these documents, we’ll send you an invoice in your email address with which you can pay using credit cards.

Which credit cards you accept?

We currently accept any Visa and MasterCard. MasterCard sometimes cause problem, but Visa is very swift.

Is this payment system secured?

Yes, it is fully secured. All the transactions happen in a secured website of our bank, and the fund is transferred to us later. We do not get any information about your credit card at all.

Do I need to send you my credit card information?

No, you do not. After getting your passport copy and billing address, we’ll create an invoice for you and send you a link of it with your log-in details. You’ll get 2 automatic email from our system. After getting these emails, you can log-in and make the payment with your credit card. We do not need any of your credit card information at all.

I have not received any email from your system. What to do?

Please check your SPAM folder. Automatic emails end up in the SPAM folder most of the time.

Is there any extra charge for online payment?

Yes, there is a 2.5% online transaction fee on total payment (including the transaction fee) charged by our bank for any credit card payment. For small payments e.g. for day tours, we take payment via Payoneer, for which 3% charge will be applicable.

How do I know if a payment is successful?

You’ll get an automatic receipt sent to your email for every successful payment. Also your invoice will be marked as PAID. If there is no receipt, the payment was not successful.

My payment is not going through, what is the problem?

Sometimes banks put restrictions on making payments to unrecognized business in Bangladesh (other than hotels). In that case your payments won’t go through. You need to call your bank and tell them to clear the blockade, and try to make the payment again once the blockade is lifted. Sometimes our bank’s server gets down because of regular maintenance. In that case, you need to try another time.

How long it takes to transfer the fund to your account after a payment is made?

It takes about a week to transfer the fund to our account. So we advise to make payment for our services at least a week before the service date for any big payment if you intend to pay online. For short tours like day tours or 2-3 days tour, you can pay any time you like.

Do you accept wire transfer?

No we do not. It is a big hassle for us to release a fund from wire transfer. Also sometimes it takes a long time for the fund to arrive.

Do you have any alternative online payment system?

We accept some small amount of payments using Payoneer online payment system where you can pay with your Visa and Master card, or even local bank account transfers on your own currency in some countries (3% Charge applicable). You’ll get an invoice from Nijhoom Tours via Payoneer by email to transfer the money to our email address . You then need to follow the instructions there to make the payment.

What other payment methods you accept?

If you are paying from outside Bangladesh, you can use Western Union (all charges paid). If you are paying from inside Bangladesh, you can use bKash to 01758-897959 (personal) or deposit the payment in our bank account at The City Bank Ltd in any branch.
