I did the Classic Bangladesh Tour from March 5 till March 18. I was on my own but met the other 4 participants in Dhaka. The tour was perfectly organized by Hasan, who is the owner of Nijhoom Tours, and also an excellent guide. He gave me exhaustive information before flying there, which were very useful.
We saw a lot of beautiful sites, and also spent 3 days on a boat visiting the Sundarban Mangrove forest, unforgettable.
The Visa on arrival is a very smooth process, as long as you have all the documents required, which Hasan had pointed out.
As for security, I did not see any issue and did not feel any danger, as long as you use common sense and you are with a local guide. People are smiling and friendly, not aggressive at all.
The hotels were all very good, I really enjoyed my stay in Bangladesh.
