Visit every corner of Bangladesh in a short time, including all three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Experience life in the heart of the Ganges Delta in Barisal, megacity Dhaka, port city Chittagong, and border city Sylhet. Explore the magnificent archaeological sites in Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Bagerhat, and Sonargaon. Enjoy the tranquility of the majestic Sundarbans mangrove forest and Lawachara National Park while searching for their numerous wildlife. Wonder in the endless tea plantations of Sreemangal and the serene beaches of Cox’s Bazar stretching to eternity. It is the perfect tour to cover a vast area of Bangladesh and experience its highlights in a short time that you can not cover traveling independently.
Starting in the center of the country, visiting the megacity Dhaka, one of the most densely populated cities in the world full of activities and an excellent place for street photography, you’ll take an overnight passenger ferry to the southwest region in Barisal and spend a whole day experiencing life in the Ganges Delta, the largest river delta in the word, where life is based on water. See the numerous archaeological mosques in the historic 15th-century city of Bagerhat, including the famous Sixty Dome Mosque. Spend three days inside the magical Sundarban mangrove forest, home of the illusive Bengal tigers, searching for its wildlife, birds, and river dolphins and enjoying its tranquility.
Moving to the northwest region, you’ll explore some of the best archaeological sites in Bangladesh. You’ll see the dilapidating Hindu temples of Puthia built during the British colonial period in the 18th & 19th centuries, Bagha and Kusumba Mosque – beautiful terracotta and stone-built mosques from the 16th century witnessing the Sultanate rule in Bengal, Somapura Mahavihara – the second largest Buddhist monastery south of the Himalayas from the 8th century, Mahasthangarh – the oldest known city in Bangladesh dating back to at least the 3rd century B.C., and the magnificent Kantajew Temple – the most beautiful terracotta Hindu temple in Bangladesh from the 18th-century.
Afterward, move to the northeastern region of Sreemangal and Sylhet and enjoy the endless tea plantations, explore the Lawachhara National Park in search of the endangered Hulluck Gibbons, taste the sensational seven-layer tea, ride a boat on the blue-water canal Lalakhal and see the massive stone collection activities in the border town Jaflong in the footstep of the hills of Meghalaya in India.
Afterward, move to the southeast region to Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar, visiting the old capital Sonargaon on the way. Visit the vibrant fishing port and the World War II Cemetary in Chittagong. Enjoy the popular beaches in Cox’s Bazar and see how the locals enjoy their holiday there. Then, enjoy some remote beaches outside the reach of tourists and see the fishing activities there. Also, visit Bangladesh’s largest dry fishing yards, where thousands of people are involved in the fishing industry. And see the busy fishing port of Cox’s Bazar, the largest sea-fishing hub in Bangladesh and an excellent place for photography before heading back to Dhaka.
