Express Bangladesh

We covered the length and breadth of the country, from vibrant Dhaka to the peaceful Sundarbans, and everything in between. We encountered friendly curiosity at all levels, and often found ourselves photographed and asked for selfies, turning the tables on tourists!

Bangladesh Express Tour and Dhaka Photographic Tour far exceeded our expectations, as both were extremely well thought out to give us an insight into the landscapes, people and culture of Bangladesh/Dhaka at all levels. Everyday was a pleasant and informative experience.

My personal highlights were vibrant, exciting Dhaka itself, wildlife (crocodiles, monkeys and exotic birds), overnight riverboat cruise and rice and vegetable markets.

So what did we see (there were 3 of us on the trip)? History – some magnificent buildings from the 14th, 15th, & 16th (plus others) centuries: Bangladeshi life – rice & fish markets: Bangladeshis on holiday at Cox’s Bazar. I could go on & on!

Seeing the historical side as well as the natural side of the country was a plus. And the 18 day tour includes it all. Surprisingly our accommodations were lovely and all were en suite with all the amenities of home. The food is delicious whether bought on the street or in the restaurants.

I would highly recommend for travellers looking for a real experience of life in Bangladesh. Highlights for me were the silent small boat outings in the small channels of the Sundarbans and seeing the wildlife in their natural environment and also the stone collectors in their boats in the North.
