Tour Highlights

  • Visit all three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Bangladesh.
  • Spend two nights on a small but comfortable houseboat, anchoring in remote corners of the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a magical environment.
  • Explore the historical mosques of the Bagerhat UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the iconic 15th-century Sixty Dome Mosque and other notable Islamic monuments.
  • Visit Sompur Mahabihar, an 8th-century Buddhist monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site—one of the most important archaeological sites in South Asia.
  • Glide through the peaceful, small creeks and channels in a silent rowing boat and trek deep into the Sundarban to observe birds and wildlife up close in their natural habitat.
  • Watch the endangered Irrawaddy and Ganges River Dolphins jumping around while enjoying some delicious Bangladeshi dishes prepared by our chef, which you won’t find at hotels in Bangladesh.
  • Explore the stunning temples, palaces, and mosques of Rajshahi, which showcase a rich architectural heritage spanning from the medieval era to the British colonial period.
  • Experience the everyday life of tribal groups in Rajshahi and Sreemangal, each with its own rich culture, traditions, and stories, different than the mainstream Bengali people elsewhere in the country.
  • Wander through the scenic tea plantations of Sreemangal, home to rolling green hills and the heart of Bangladesh’s tea industry, and learn about the communities closely related to them.
  • Take a guided nature walk in Lawachara National Park, one of Bangladesh’s last remaining rainforests, and search for rare wildlife—including the endangered Western Hoolock Gibbons.
  • Experience life in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, a living hell on earth, and appreciate the place you live in for the rest of your life.
  • Explore the haunting street of Panam Nagar, an early 19th-century Hindu cotton merchant town that is now completely abandoned.
  • Visit a fishing village by the Sundarbans and a rural island on the Meghna River, and learn how local communities adapt to natural disasters, river erosion, and climate change.

FAQS on Our Bangladesh Holiday Packages

What is the best time to visit Bangladesh with a Nijhoom Holiday Package?

The best time to visit Bangladesh is during the dry season, which runs from October to March. During this time, the weather is pleasant, and you can enjoy outdoor activities and sightseeing without the inconvenience of heavy rainfall or extreme heat. However, Nijhoom offers tours year-round, so you can choose a package that suits your preferences and schedule.

What are the accommodation options for solo travelers?

Solo travelers can share rooms with a same-sex stranger to reduce cost or have private rooms by booking a Single Supplement.

What kind of meals are included in the Nijhoom Bangladesh Holiday Packages?

Nijhoom Bangladesh Holiday Packages generally include complimentary breakfast from the hotels. Lunch and dinner are not included. If a hotel does not provide complimentary breakfast, we'll take you to a local restaurant for breakfast, which is included in the tours. All meals, tea, coffee, and drinking water are included for the three days in the Sundarbans Mangrove Forest. Lunch with takeaway cooked local meal or locally purchased fruits is included on the boat in Barisal.

Are vegetarian and vegan meals available on Nijhoom Bangladesh Holiday Packages?

Vegetarian and vegan meals will be available in restaurants in Bangladesh. However, options will be limited for vegan meals. You'll find more options in Western restaurants for this kind of meal. Vegetarian and vegan meals will not be a problem on our boat in Sundarbans. Our cook will prepare some delicious dishes for you. If you are a vegan, it will be good to always carry some food with you.

Is alcohol available in Bangladesh?

Foreigners are legally allowed to buy alcohol in Bangladesh. There are many bars and warehouses around the country, run by the government and private companies, where you can purchase alcohol by showing your foreign passport. The cost of a can of beer will be about $3 US.

Can I book a tour outside your schedule?
