Experience the best sights and attractions of Bangladesh as recommended by popular travel guides and beyond their capabilities. Focusing primarily on Bangladesh’s people and culture, this tour will take you to explore lesser-known, offbeat destinations that are unknown to regular tourists. You’ll visit every corner of Bangladesh along the tourist trail and see its highlights, including all three UNESCO World Heritage sites, and explore areas that are far away from the tourist route over a short period, which you cannot cover when traveling independently. If you’d like to discover the hidden gems of every corner of Bangladesh outside the reach of regular tourists in one tour, this is the perfect tour for you.

This tour is available for booking on either a private or group basis for a minimum of 4 travelers. Seats are limited to only 8. Solo travelers can join an already-scheduled group tour only. They can share rooms with total strangers of the same sex to save costs. Can also book a Single Supplement if they need private rooms. If you have an early-morning flight, we’ll offer a discount on your accommodation for the last night. Private and group tours are available for booking at any time outside of our scheduled tours. Tour Highlights

  • Experience the massive fishing industry of Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar by visiting its bustling fishing ports, fish markets, fishing villages, and dry fishing yards.
  • Watch the intense stone collection activities along the riverbanks of Jaflong, offering stunning views of the Meghalaya hills in India.
  • Explore the indigenous cultures of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Sreemangal, and Rajshahi by visiting the remote villages of different tribal communities, whose customs, languages, and traditions differ significantly from the Bengali mainstream, offering a rare cultural experience in Bangladesh.
  • Explore the stunning mosques, temples, monasteries, and palaces of Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Dinajpur, which showcase a rich architectural heritage spanning from the medieval era to the British colonial period.
  • Experience life in Barisal, a scenic region of southern Bangladesh located in the heart of the Ganges Delta—far off the typical tourist trail —by visiting its villages, bustling bazaars, and brick kilns.
  • Visit remote island villages on the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna Rivers, as well as a traditional fishing village near the Sundarbans, to witness how locals adapt to the constant challenges of natural disasters, climate change, and sharing a border area with India.
  • Visit all three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Bangladesh.
  • Spend two nights on a small but comfortable houseboat, anchoring in remote corners of the Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a magical environment.
  • Explore the historical mosques of the Bagerhat UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the iconic 15th-century Sixty Dome Mosque and other notable Islamic monuments.
  • Visit Sompur Mahabihar, an 8th-century Buddhist monastery and UNESCO World Heritage Site—one of the most important archaeological sites in South Asia.
  • Witness the energy of city beaches filled with thousands of local holidaymakers, then enjoy some quiet, secluded sandy beaches far from any tourist activity in Cox’s Bazar—the third longest sea beach in the world.
  • Walk through colorful tribal bazaars in Bandarban and Rangamati, where indigenous people gather in traditional attire that you can’t see in their villages.
  • Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Kaptai in Rangamati and Lalakhal in Sylhet, and walk along the banks of the River Sangu in Bandarban, surrounded by rolling hills, forested shores, and glimpses of bustling life on the water.
  • Enjoy tranquil boat rides through narrow canals and visit early morning floating markets where local farmers trade fresh produce directly from their boats—a unique tradition of the delta region.
  • Glide through the peaceful, small creeks and channels in a silent rowing boat and trek deep into the Sundarban to observe birds and wildlife up close in their natural habitat.
  • Watch the endangered Irrawaddy and Ganges River Dolphins jumping around while enjoying some delicious Bangladeshi dishes prepared by our chef on the boat in Sundarbans, which you won’t find at hotels in Bangladesh.
  • Wander through the scenic tea plantations of Sreemangal, home to rolling green hills and the heart of Bangladesh’s tea industry, and learn about the communities closely related to them.
  • Take a guided nature walk in Lawachara National Park, one of Bangladesh’s last remaining rainforests, and search for rare wildlife, including the endangered Western Hoolock Gibbons.
  • Explore the haunting street of Panam Nagar, an early 19th-century Hindu cotton merchant town that is now completely abandoned.
  • Experience life in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, a living hell on earth, and appreciate the place you live in for the rest of your life.
